August 30 Moving...I moved out of Shareton today.
Took me a while to pack everything together.. quite awkward for the wooden cat... since he's too big to fit into anything, end up having he's head sticking out from my work bag.. and got alot of comments...
Anyway, it's a nice place.
Not perfect, not new.
But it's now my home.
Spent a whole hour mopping the floor... seriously considering outsourcing in the future.
I've experienced the amazing service of being in china.
Everything's seriously 1 phone call away.
Within 20 minutes, i managed to have all light bulbs changed, all bits and pieces of little problems fixed, connected to internet, have clean drinking water delivered to my door with the machine free of charge and lock changed for the front door.
It's amazing what you can expect when labor is so cheap.... August 27 In the hotel lobbyFinished a bit earlier tonight.
Moving out this weekend.
Decide to use the PC in the hotel lobby.
Why?
Well, it's got vista... it's got a 20 something inch monitor and above all it's not mine.
Nothing beats a public PC.
You can do pretty much anything without consequences.
Just have to becareful no one's watching behind my back.
Gets alot of attension to browse Facebook in public as well... considering this place is packed with foreigners...... August 25 Lost in TranslationAlright, i dont really need translation.
I always thought i know what i want, but what i want is never what i expect.
I should look at myself again and have a long long self reflection session.
I dont know myself anymore.
Sometimes when i'm alone, i think about the things i said during the day, what have i become?
I dont know.

昨晚去和同事唱歌。
今天早上起来，头晕眼花。
打开电视，看了两集<<喜羊羊与灰太狼>>，这卡通绝对是国产片的突破点。
终于摆脱了福娃类型的设计，和传统故事的沉闷，还有很棒的主题曲...
吸了根玉溪，感叹中国不愧为烟草业的鼻祖，什么乱七八糟的烟都有，要抽完每个品牌，真是一辈子的工程。
目前喜欢，玉溪，黄鹤楼，小熊猫，大红鹰.... 其实红塔山也不错...
还发现原来吸烟也是非常地域性的，上海地区，还是红双喜热门....
去逛了一下新天地，感觉很棒，很后现代，很上海，很多外国人....
然后去了城隍庙。
感觉这才像中国，其他地方，只能给我上海的印象。
很喜欢人多的地方，给人一种聚集的快感，看来人类还是群居的动物啊。
吃了5块一笼的小笼，我还真喜欢小笼，比生煎好吃多了。以后一定得吃遍上海的小笼。
逛了很多买莫名其妙小东西的店，感觉莫名其妙的幸福。巨人版打火机，SKULL电话...好多EBAY才能见到的东西都历历在目。
晚上去吃了本帮菜，真是伟大的菜式。
终于可以摆脱还停留在80年代的上海粤菜了。
虽然感觉偏甜，可是见识了许多很精致的东西。最重要的是，一切都很容易吃，让超级懒惰的我也物化可说。
没有骨头的肉万岁！！
然后去了衡山路，一个IRISH PUB。
一进门看见大荧屏在播CRICKET MATCH，找到了家的感觉。
虽然以前基本不看，现在居然能投入的激动起来。
看来我还真是一个两头不到岸的边缘人士。
在悉尼时，我会向往中国。
在国内的时候却摆脱不了成长的回忆。

凑合着看看，写得挺感人的.... August 21 Third Week in ShanghaiI've been religiously following 女巫店 lately. It's seriously accurate, give it a try, at least its convincing for me. Oh, i rented an apartment today. On 龙阳路. What a gay name for a street -_-' come to think about it, shanghai have alot of wierd street names.. i guess its a chinese thing. Ok, it's been a full on week, its so full on, i even forgot what day of the week is this. Somehow, i thought today is wednesday, since thursday night is too good to be true to me. Oh, i must say, Citi canteen is quite nice. It's just a canteen, chinese style i know. But it's cheap with reasonable food. You get 2 meat and 2 vege dishes, soup, fruit/milk and unlimited carb (rice, 馒头, tasteless congee and noodles) all for 15 bucks. Compare to paying 30 bucks in the shopping mall for some artificial food, this is much better... At least i'm eating real meat i/o processed meat looking things.. There's some changes at work... but hopefully tomorrow is a good day leading to the weekend... August 13 以后要多听老人的建议...经理以前给了我很多建议，我都没有听，那家伙是个everythingologist in life...
算了，临走前某夜，他说，我去年去台湾，觉得很寂寞。

Will take me years to memorise them all.
Anyhow, Shanghai is a big place... yeah nothing new.
I've been around thanks to a friend's friend. Went to some interesting places that i would never dicover myself.

So today, i went to work.
Work is messy. Alot of people, alot of things i need to learn.
Above all, my pc and lan id is not ready yet.

With nothing i can do, i finish at 8:30pm.
Walked out, got talked into taking a bus instead of metro, got off at the wrong stop, walking in the rain for 20 minutes..
Went by this noodle joint, took home some noodle, it was beautiful.
It does get abit frustrating, when everything infront of you is now in chinese... even the maker checker stamp==....
It's gonna be a challenging week, i'm sure.
Gonna have alot of fun.

Man, whats wrong with this City, you see people riding ferrari on one side, 10 minutes walk later, you see scenes from the world vision ad...
I guess you'll probably see this in every big city around the world, but dam it's pretty shocking...
I mean 2 dollar panda/chong hua cigarrets, wierdo chinese toys, rock melon on a stick and "i'll give you 100 bucks if can solve this" business... not to mention the waves of motorbike cabs....
Another thing, Shang ppl are so cold... i've been walking for a hour and no one want to give me a simple direction...
Oh well, anyway after 2 hours of walking in extreme heat, i've arrived at 不夜城！
Pretty fancy name for a building that's filled over over 300 mobile phone stores-_-'....
300 rmb later, i now have a working phone.. FUCK YOU 3G... i'll stop paying the phone bill and will not come back to australia forever..
On the way back, i caught the wrong subway line.. and end up in middle of i dont know where... looks very different from shanghai... maybe it's some other city.. i dont know... but the subway has turned into a monorail and it's a pretty good just to look around altho there's basically nothing going on.. hmmm..
I guess i need to take sometime to digest before venturing into pu xi again... it's a bit too shang for me==

Got to the airport at 6, from a Merc S500 (from Jason). It's freezing and i'm dead tired (had about 3 hours slept between Friday to Sunday).
Stuck in the check in queue for about 1 whole hour. Then the flight got delay coz there's still tones of people waiting to check in.
About 9, the flight took off, good bye sydney.
Arrived in SG about 2:30.
Smoked for 3 hours, bought duty free cigarrets, got on the second plane.
Just before take off, the plane had some technical difficulties and had to be move back to the terminal.
2 hours later, we left SG.
Arrived at Pudong airport about 1:30, very surprised to see my new boss is there waiting for me.
I will not return to sydney for a while, this whole flying business is too demanding for me...
While i was on the way to the hotel, i looked out and realised, DAM i am in shanghai, there's no turning back now.
Everywhere is so dam quite in pudong, 2:00am sunday night.
Had a quick shower, went down and had meccas. Very surprise to see that they have triple cheese burger (well i ask for it and they made it...) and it's 24 hours.
Got up at 12 in the morning, cant remember where the hell am i.
Went to the living room and find out that there's a leak from the aircondition in the roof.
My suit case is right below the aircon...
DAM.
I must say, they did provide quality service and 2 phone calls and 20 minutes later all problems resolved.
Had some bun for breakfast, ok, now i'm really in shanghai, ppl actually say nong==
Later my relo from ningbo came and visited me briefly.
I went to ZhengDa around 6.
Excuse my french but FUCK i mean FUC@(#*@(#*I(@K!!!!! It's hypergigNORMOUS... put it in oz context, about the size of 2 x 10 story westfield stacked together.
Had dinner there with my new team.... average food... actually below average... well i guess i shouldnt ask for sweet and sour pork in shang after all... but the deep fried frog was pretty interesting....
Had a walk along the bund, and dam it's a beautiful City... the best part is that the bund is right next to Citi building.
Just on Citi Building, i was walking along the bund and there were tourist taking picture of the Citi building.
Dam, we are still something back in China.
Well i did walk backout and check the building after i've walked in and sit down. After all it's a pretty poshy place. Only thing is the blue neon surrounded the place, i mean there's no blue in our logo since 5 years ago...
Didnt some grocery shopping and caught the subway home... dont know why i did that.. i mean i'm pretty sure there's a shopping center down the road and every ppl look at me funny on the train, they must think im an idiot for doing grocery shoppin there and then catch a train home...
Ok, that's my day one.
PS the weather suck.. feels like a suana and it's only 30 degrees, no wonder ppl hated it so much.
PSS this hotel im staying in is amazing, will upload some photo once i could be bother taking them.
