June 21 I'm Leaving....I'll be leaving around first weekend of August.
Was initially offer to start on July 20th, which i politely declined with personal reasons.
Not sure why i needed more time altho alot of people do suggest that i need alot of time to deal with THINGS. Feels like a long way to go, 1.5 months..
Ah..
Nothing else i want to talk about.. June 05 June 4th This morning when i got up, i thought dam it's already June. It's a shame i've missed out on June 4th commemoration. Then the whole day I didn't even get a chance to think about it. Got home, log on to msn, saw friend blog about it. DAM. TODAY IS 4th of JUNE. Well, i did however, put on a black tie after. Hmm.. wonder what that human tank who out-tanked the tank is doing now... It's a sad time in history. And it's already 20 years past... June 04 Sports I hate sports. I don't get how Helen can follow cricket, swimming and all them miscellaneous sports... I can't. I can't watch it, i can't talk about it, i can't even watch people watching it or even get myself near it... Well figure it would be good to watch follow something for a change. I don't like soccer, you spend a hour and a half waiting for those few minutes of highlights. I don't like cricket, I'm yellow. I don't like Rugby, it's too Aussie, well still rather watch it than American football. Tennis is alright, but can't exactly follow it. F1 is alright, for the first hour of the first time in your whole life watching it. That's all. Olympics gets a bit boring, after china end up on top. Even NBA seem very repetitive. Lately (mostly due to my shaped internet connection), i have been following MLB. It's like cricket in a way, but alot more tense, have all these rules and it's extremely american. (I have this american thing in me which made me dig everything in the american culture, maybe i'm japanese in my previous life, who knows). Just have to figure out all these bloody rules first.== June 03 Talking About AV Got my internet back to normal speed after end of month. Video game is very time consuming. So instead, i've just sat around browse internet. Came across a japanese AV all time ranking. It's like a walk down the memory lane. Ever come across one of those fobby internet threads about nostalgic childhood items for people who grew up in the 80s? For me, this is kinda like one of them threads. Yes, every Chinese guy grew up watching them. At first, you watch just to get it over and done with; then you start to notice the music, setting, plot, even editing and film, well to a certain extend anyway.Like watching a movie, you'll eventually have a few preferred actress overtime. Looking at all these people you used to watch, and how things in the 90s now looked so outdated in comparison with HD graphic. After all, AV is a dying industry. Internet have taken over much of their market, not to mention piracy and bad economy. It's not surprising that there are no more new raise stars. People are now focusing more on the idea/plot instead of the person. Oh well, it's kinda like tv kills the radio stars.... June 02 Wedding and What's Ahead.. Wedding is less than a week to go. Most of things do workout by now, fingers cross that three will be no dramas... My manager have suggested that out of good gesture i should invite the senior management. So i did. With the expectation that they won't turn up. I mean less than a week of notice, most people wouldn't. Not to mention them being SENIOR MANAGEMENT. Well, they actually agree to come-_-'. Now I'm nervous, along with all other people from work. Bah. On a side note, this colleague went to work early today, she saw real estate agents visiting the floor trying to rent it out. WTF. As much as i wanted to believe that the floor is only renovating, I don't know what's to come. Let's hope for the best. I'm been playing <<Oblivion>> for the past 2 weeks. Ranked 3rd on metacritic (gamer's critic bible) this is an amazing game. Something that takes single player non onling gaming to a new height. Your enter as a prisoner in a medieval world with dungeons and dragons, and EVERYTHING in this game make sense. You don't HAVE to do anything if you don't want to. If you don't want to level up, you don't have to. All mobs stay the same level as you. Your skills and level increases through doing the same action over time, if you keep killing monsters, you'll increase your blade/blunt/hand to hand skill. If you keep picking locks and talk to people, you'll increase your security and speechcraft skill. If you just run around and jump, you'll increase your acrobatics and athletic skill. If you don't want to do any quest, just skip it and move on. Really makes much more sense than waiting for experience points on killing monsters or doing quest. The world is huge, weather changes over time. Every computer character have their own AI, they sleep, eat, drink, go to work on different time of the day. Above all, you can't simply go into stranger's house and pick up stuff like in most RPG games around, or assault random NPC on the street and take their money. There's an actual legal system going on, where every city have their own gaurds and will put you in jail if your found guilty of a crime. Even if you managed to escape, you will have a bounty on your head and eventually get hunt down when you go to another city. You can go to jail or simply resist arrest and get yourself kill. At the same time, you can sneak around committing all these crimes as long as your not caught. On the other hand, this is a 100% customised game, you can choose the face of your character, pretty much like wii (but uglier and much more realistic). You determine the person you are by behaving certain way which through skills increase and things you've done. You can buy a horse, buy a house, buy all your furnitures, or live in the hood and sneak into rich people's house for all kinds of goodies (the fact that you'll be punish if your caught made it alot more interesting). You can choose to be an assessin, killing people for money. You can even get bitten by a vampire, and choose to live like that, avoiding the sun and sneak into people's houses looking for "food" at night. On the down side, this game is too realistic, which means people look alot like the people on the street, when your playing a game, you want to see pretty faces. |
