March 20 Update Alright, need to get rid of the idea of a western style wedding. My god father strongly oppose to the idea, suggesting it would be cold and boring. He already been to 3 so far, have to sit over hours of speech only to see some microscopic serve doesn't exactly sound like a wedding for a china man. He's got a point. So, i then consider stuff the ceremony, since i can't be fuck organizing it. Alright, then i thought nar, i can't exactly fuck the ceremony, it would be a waste of money for the bloody wedding gown. 3 hours of internet research later, i've got a new plan. Chinese Restaurant (a word i can never manage to spell-_-') for reception in Beverly Hill - got a good quote off some family friend, budget wise and menu wise. Looking to have the ceremony in Sydney Park - have sent email to confirm for chairs and random stuff hiring== I will convert into Atheism if it rains on that day... Bloody wedding, stress me out more than FTI system failure on 6pm... On a brighter note, i've been looking extensively into furniture for my new house. It's particularly convenient when you have a wife that knows how to copy miscellenous painting you find on the internet. PS Citi shares back to 3 bucks now. Looks like Vikram's not full of it after all. PSS If i don't get my 900 bucks, i'm spill'n big time PSSS Fucking internet censorship, they still talking about it... if that gets pass, i'll ... March 16 Long time no see Long time no see blog. This suck. Not much happen, not as much as it should anyway. So, what have i been doing lately? Well first, i bought a new pc. My old mother died, thought might as well. Blew a grand, not even sure whats in it. Good thing is, i spend another hundred bucks to get a wireless network going in the house, now i can use internet, on the big screen again... Still using windows XP tho, too skeptically about Vista. To make it looks like a new PC, i did change to firefox instead of using IE9, well, should've done it long time ago, my macro hunger is now well-fed (the bloody spell check does bug me tho) Anyway, Wedding date is set on the first weekend of June. It suck to plan a wedding. It suck even more when your in a recession and didn't get a paid raise. It suck real bad when you recently entered into a mortgage with single income. It suck seriously (#@&$(*#*$(@#*(@#*(@# when you don't know whether people even wanted to attend given such hard time.. So, the last 3 weeks have been hectic. Simple deciding between a Chinese or a Western reception already drove me crazy. Then i have to choose between a seated and a cocktail one.. For Chinese you think about the trouble outside reception, you think about Lobster and the price, you need a coordinator.. For Western, you think about the bloody MINIMUM NUMBER APPLY.. So finally, I've made up my mind on below, 1. Western 2. Seated 3. I'm gonna have reception only, ceremony goes with the reception, not gonna wasting time looking for venue/chairs and tables/people/celebrant so on.. if organization like Citibank can cut cost to the extend of using cheap folders, shape internet connection, reduce cleaning service to twice a week... i sure can use a bit of cost cutting in my wedding too.. I've seen below, Underbelly Season I - Good. Alot of drug, sex, rock and roll. Can't beleive it's made my channel 9, can't beleive it's even being show on national television. A bit distance from the truth tho, can't exactly agree on the depiction of Carl Williams in particular. Beats all the other cheapo Channel 9 spin offs e.g. CSI Gold Coast.... Dexter Season II - It's good television. Alot more character development. However, since it's not based on the novel, the characters lost their touch. I guess the script write have a very interpretation to my understanding. I love the cold humour, yet i can't exactly accept the main character's transformation from a cold serial killer, into a confused kid. I guess the fact that i've watched it all at one go probably made it a little worse. On the upside, there is great tension throughout the whole season, alot of the times you just want to close your eyes, cover up your ears and wait for 10 minutes.. (because you can't afford to fastforward anything). I suppose if it worsen for a disappointed ending, i would've liked it alot more. I mean it just felt like some cheap online novel ending, which the writer just want to have it over and done with.. bah I've been reading some online novel lately, wanting to escape from reality. Below are the comments, 神墓 - I wanted to stop 3 chapters down, but i didn't and got grab on to since. Then i regred towards the end. Usually for something this long, the writer have planty of time to improve. However, this guy updates daily, it seems to be the trend at the moment. It suck, when you read it at one go. He's really stretching it at the end. If i meet him in person, i'lll punch him in the face. 紫川 - I've read this long time ago. Find it very funny at the time, maybe i've changed. Somehow I didn't even laugh to anything reading it again. It's not something you can get into at the start but certain well beyond you typical online novel. The story is very unique, and there are far too many political satyres to be ignore. Still reading it at the moment, this is something well deserve to be on the online novel hall of fame. 7Truth - a collection of short story by the same chick who wrote 亡灵书. The first story is amazing. Somehow, i got very scared reading it. Then it gets a little to repeatitive. It's great, everything make sense, but you can't exactly change the setting and make another story out of it. This is getting too bloody long, doubt anything can get down to here. Let me include some PSs.. PS - Don't buy Citi shares yet, wait till April. Can't base everything on an internal email from the CEO. PSS - Helen, cheer the hell up! You've got this amazing ability to bring misery into a beautiful sunny day. |
