For the final month of 2008 and early 2009, what have i been up to?

 

I don't know.

 

Dug up all my DVD and re-watch all my favourite films.

 

Re-reading all my favourite books.

 

Getting paid for what's i've done long time ago.

 

Bought some album from the past, and spend long night listening to it again and again...

 

I suppose it's a bit late for nostalgia, it's already 2009, it's time to move on....

 

So, i  should listen to something diferent for a change, like hmm.. Prince, Purple Rain...

 

Saw below list of films this weekend,

 

Once upon a time in Mehico - got to love johnny depp and he's costumes.. especially the CIA one==...even the dvd bonus were all worth watching..

 

Grand Torino - Nice film, dirty harry has done it again. Clean and smooth, no twist,  nothing special, just simply an enjoyable film for after work...

 

7 Pond - a bit slow, i mean SLOW. If my manager didn't give me a briefin of it's allusion to Merchant of Venice, i probably won't be able to finish it.. oh well Will Smith is a great actor... the ending really make up for the whole story... still haven't seen pursuit of happiness..

 

How to lose a friend or alienate them - Saw it friday night, then friends came over and i saw it again the next day.. quite british, not for everybody... but there's one scene made me laugh out very loud 3am in the morning..

 

Sunshine - Not as good as expected... felt like a dodgy re-make of space odyssy.. well i've always got a thing for cillian murphy.. but still rather disappointing effort from Danny Boyle.... looking forward to Slumdog tho..

 

The Prestige - i can't beleive i haven't seen it after 3 different people lent it to me.. i HATE christian bale.. and i LOVE hugh jackman.. so the ending is rather disappointing.. but overall definitiely one of the better films of all time.. would be amazing if another hugh jackman pop up in the last scene.. nice to see Christopher Noland been able to keep up with the standard..

 

Sweeny Todd - mmm rather disturbing film. Quite disturbing.. i guess i'm really getting old again.. i can't hide behind my smoke==.. actually felt sick after the film. Very nicely made, very tim burton..

 

Planning to have my wedding on the first Saturday of May, email invitation will go out soon..
