Where majority of asia enjoys uncap DLS3 or faster speed, we sit back with this 40g per month on peak off peak ADSL2 bullshit.

 

Now they want to implement censorship on an ISP level.

 

What the fuck is wrong with these people.

 

Filter DOESN'T work.

 

Refer to below a list of problems,

 

1. Sensitive contend which the filter is intend to block are not widely spread out and easily accessible. You can't google child porn and have 50 million sites show up with picture and movies just one click away, just like you can't walk down to woolies and pickup an ounce of pot on the way home. Chances are, pedos, junkies and sadists around will still have their underground channels of communication, regardless of the filter.

 

2. Current filter to date does not have sufficient logic to identify the keywords. If muff gets filtered, so would muffin. If Cialis gets filtered, so would socialist.

 

3. Filter on an ISP level reduces internet speed, BY HEAPS.

 

Above all, who will have the right to decide what's sensitive and what's not? Especially when non of the blocked out content will be release to public.

On a brighter note, i have participated in the protest against Isreali government today and march down with the crowd to the US embassy.

 

I did felt like I'm being a hypocrite. I mean ultimately this is another case of indigenous people versus the outisde who overthrown them from their homeland.

 

But hey, it's nice to be in the middle of a group of passioned people. Watch them fight for what they beleive closely.

 

Still kinda wierd to be the only asian stucked in the middle.

Been playing Super Mario Galaxy on wii lately.

 

I've never played any other mario franchise besides the original, and probably about 10-15 minutes worth of play time on sega at a friend's place back in childhood.

It's a beautiful game. No voilent, family friendly, yet extremely fun and creative.

 

The idea of travelling in the galaxy with different planets and different themes is amazing.

 

Definately the best game on this limited console.

 

 

On the other hand, i'm in the middle of recording my song.

 

Took me a long while to even get used to the beat on a piano.

 

It's much harder than i thought.

 

Especially when i'm doing everything myself==

 

Need another 2 - 3 weeks to make it right...

 

 

Started reading "Notes from the Underground" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

 

Colleague lend it to me and said i'll like it.

 

I sure did.

 

Have read anything this good for a long long time.

This weekend's been quite long.

 

Saw <<Burn after Reading>>, it probably the best film i've seen this year.

 

Well friend did consider the characters a little too stupid to be real, but then again, they americans...

 

I love cohen brother and their subtle humour.

 

Saw <<American Gangster>>, again an amazing film.

 

A bit too much on a Friday night, month end, couldn't find a cab until 2 hours of walking around later...

 

But i always have this thing with south drawl...

 

Spend whole sunday trying to record my song.

 

Now the piano is a little too sloppy, and i seriously can't play it right...

 

Now my fingers are all crammed up... maybe i'll just change the whole thing to make it a bit more playable..

 

Hmm anyway... it's a good week...
